In the late 1980's, the Hayes family acquired the appliance/furniture business known as Woody's, then located in the historical Garber Furniture building at 28 West 1st. After the underground gas explosion in January, 2001, destroyed its home, Woody's relocated to its present location at 2 North Main, the former home of Woolworth's.

Woody's reopened for business on March 2, 2002, with new manager, Tina Morris, and her capable crew.

After an extensive remodeling in 2007, along with the addition of various lines of decorative accessory items, Woody's was ready for one more major change- a new name!

In April 2008, Woody's became Hayes Home Furnishings to reflect the connection with Hayes Sight & Sound. The new sign went up and the delivery trucks were given new decals, making everything official. Woody's was no more!

Hayes Home Furnishings bears no resemblance to the original Woody's. Today's store interior is painted with lush color schemes and decorated with vignettes designed to show off the latest styles in furniture. Hand-picked accessories are scattered tastefully throughout the showroom floor. Lane and Broyhill are the best known of the furniture lines offered and Simmons Beutyrest and Omaha Bedding, which features two-sided mattresses, round out the selections available.

With manager Tina Morris degree and experience in Interior Design, and a knowledgeable sales and delivery staff, the stage is set for customer satisfaction. The evolution to Hayes Home Furnishings is complete!
